For My Husband...

I love you. Things aren't always cakepops and beer bongs..but we got this. I know sometimes it seems that there just isn't a break to be had, that the stars are truly misaligned for us, that ours is a never have enough world.
But sometimes it's really, really, astronomically, unbelievably good. Most times.
There are times when we can't manage the wants...and are barely scraping by on the needs. There are times when I am as negative as our bank account, when I can't silence the fear, when I can't calm the storms.
You love me anyway.
And during those times...I know that you will be strong. That you will solve what seems unsolvable and fix what seems unfixable. You will be the rock. You will be the lighthouse. You will be the anchor.
There have been trials. Deployment. Divorce. A cancer scare. Medical mysteries. Life altering moments.
There have also been triumphs. Homecoming. Retirement. Marriage. Negative lab reports.
Thank you. Thank you for seeing me through the scariest moments of my life. Thank you for for sharing the happiest moments of my life. Thank you for grounding me when I want to run. Thank you for holding me when I want to pull away. Thank you for silencing me when I want to rage. Thank you for loving me when I am unlovable. Thank you.
